Starting today, all the regional and overseas candidates will arrive in Manila to join the NCR entries to begin their Mutya ng Pilipinas 2014 journey. While the past 48 hours or so have been marred by the stinging effects of Typhoon Glenda, everyone needs to move on and get back on track. The pre-pageant activities have been finalized and compared to recent editions, this year has actually been met with a little more excitement and anticipation.
This early, I have a feeling one of the delegates from abroad could take it all the way and succeed Angeli Dione Gomez as the country’s representative to Miss Tourism International 2014 in Malaysia. But will the likes of Glennifer Perido and Cristine Cheeny Racel allow that to happen without giving a stiff fight? And will Koreen Medina wear a sash that could possibly hint on a newly-acquired pageant franchise if ever?
Let’s see what new developments Mutya ng Pilipinas has in store for all of us to witness. :-)
